Winner/Prizing:
‍The winning designers will receive a total of $25,000 cash prizes and will be notified via email. Entrants are responsible for providing valid contact information and checking their respective email accounts for notifications regarding the International Poster Competition. If a potential winner does not respond within five calendar days of the first notification attempt or if the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, the potential winner will forfeit his/her prize. Ulsan Oesol International Typography Awards retains the right to proceed with the design or select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries.

Judging & Selection:
‍Entries will be judged by a panel of Festival officials and the review Committee (jury panels), who are consisted of design world-renown educators and professionals. Entries will be evaluated based on appeal, theme inclusion, content, and overall quality that are based on the criteria. The first screening, conducted by the National and International Jury, will select posters displayed in the exhibition. Next, the Category A/B first screening will be conducted, and a pre-screening of the low-resolution digital submissions will be chosen. Finally, the second screening, led by a selected national and International Jury, will determine the prize-winning works in each category asked on the high-resolution PDF files.

Judging Criteria:
‍The judging panel evaluates the submitted works according to the following criteria:

- Originality and novelty

- Innovation and forward-thinking

- Experimentation

- Striking implementation of message

- Lasting communicative impact

- Design presentation quality

Judging panel:
‍The judging panel consists of 18 members, including the head judge. All judging panel members ideally have a direct link to typography professionally. The head judge and the competition organizer regularly replace existing panel members with new ones if there is any significant issue. The list of panel members is announced with the launch of the competition.

The panel's deliberations are conducted in private. Media representatives may be invited to help adjudicate. They and the panel members are required to keep the results confidential until they are announced.

Awards ceremony:
‍The awards ceremony will take place at Ulsan Culture & Arts Center auditorium during the 13th Oesol Hangeul Hanmadang Festival in Ulsan, South Korea, on October 7th (SAT) from 5 pm to 7 pm. Also, all winning work will be featured on our official archival website and on the pages of our special edition of the exhibition book, distributed to all winners and design communities worldwide. Therefore, we encourage all students who are eager to showcase their work to enter the student category of the Ulsan Oesol International Typography Awards competition.

우승자/상금:
우승 디자이너들에게는 수상금 합계 총 2만6천 달러가 수여되며 웹사이트와 이메일을 통해 통보된다. 참가자는 유효한 연락처 정보를 제공하고 각자의 이메일 계정에서 국제 포스터 공모전에 관한 알림을 확인할 책임이 있다. 수상 후보자가 첫 통지 시도 후 7일 이내에 응답하지 않거나 상금 또는 상품 통지가 미수령 또는 배달 불가로 반송되는 경우 수상 후보자는 자격을 상실하며, 나머지 적격 출품작 중에서 심사 총점 순위의 차점자를 대체 수상자로 선정한다.

심사 및 선정 방식:
출품작은 세계적으로 유명한 디자인 교육자 및 전문가로 구성된 페스티벌 관계자 및 심사위원단(심사위원 패널)의 1차와 2차 심사를 거쳐 선정된다. 출품작의 평가 기준과 방식은 아래의 규정과 기준에 따른 전반적인
수준에 따라 평가된다. 국내 및 국제 심사위원단이 진행하는 1차 심사를 통해 전시회에 전시될 입상작을 먼저 선정한다. 심사는 무기명 투표 방식으로 각 심사위원이 개별 점수표를 부여하고 모든 심사위원의 점수표를 합산하여 고득점자 순으로 상위 고득점자 순으로 150작품을 선정한다. 다음으로 2차 심사위원단이 주도하는 본상 선별을 위하여 1차에서 선정된 150여작품의  2차 심사가 심도있게 진행되며 각 부문별 최종 본상
수상작 20여점이 결정된다. 본상 수상작은 상금과 상패 그리고 상장이
수여된다.

심사위원단:
심사위원단은 주최측의 운영위원회와 외부 자문위원들의 추천을 받아 심사위원장을 포함하여 전문적인 자격으로 타이포그래피와 시각커뮤니케이션 분야에서 현저한 공헌과 지위를 확보한18명의 국제적으로 저명한 전문디자이너 및 교육자 위원으로 구성하였다. 심사위원장과 대회 주최자는 중대한 문제나 사유가 발생하였을 경우 예외적으로 기존 심사위원을 새로운 심사위원으로 교체할 수 있다.

심사위원 명단은 대회 시작과 함께 발표되며, 심사위원의 심의는 비공개로 진행된다. 공정한 심사를 돕기 위해 미디어 담당자를 초청할 수 있다. 심사위원장및 심사위원은 심사 결과가 발표될 때까지 심사 결과를 기밀로 유지해야 한다.

시상식:
시상식은 10월 7일 오후 5시부터 7시까지 대한민국 울산광역시에서 열리는 제13회 외솔 한글한마당 축제 기간 동안 울산문화예술회관 대강당 혹은 이벤트 스테이지에서 열릴 예정이다. 또한 모든 수상작은 공식 아카이브 웹사이트 (www.oesoltypo.org)와 특별판 전시 도록에 수록되며, 전 세계 디자인 커뮤니티에 소개된다. 더불어 주최측과 협의하에 디자인 상품으로 제작되어 판매할 수 있는 기회를 부여 받는다.
