At Sultong (Byung-in Kang Calligraphy Institute), a principle, Byung-in Kang has expressed the beauty, sound, and meaning of the Korean language through calligraphy by combining calligraphy and design since the late 1990s. He has participated in several solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions in graphic design and calligraphy over the years. Kang graduated from Hongik University’s Graduate School of Industrial Art (Dept. of Advertising Design)and has taught at Chungnam National University’s Department of Visual Design. In addition, he has served as an honorary teacher for arts and culture at the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Furthermore, he is a Kyobo Book Centre’s Handwriting Culture Promotion Committee member.

강병인 글씨연구소의 대표로 있으면서, 90년대 말부터 서예와 디자인을 접목한 멋 글씨로 우리말의 고움과 소리, 그 의미들을 글씨로 드러내는 작업을 하고 있다. 개인전과 다수의 그래픽 및 캘리그래피 단체전 등에 참여했다. 홍익대학교 산업미술대학원 광고디자인과 졸업하고 충남대학교 시각디자인과에 출강했으며 문화체육관광부 문화예술 명예 교사와 교보문고 손 글쓰기 문화확산위원회 위원으로 활동 중이다.
